Lavender Sound

Written by Louise Warren

It might sound strange but I miss those days of wanting you

And the hope your brown eyes brought me

Still in a daze from the ever-present soul I feel

It was like you to seek me out

Enchantment laid on its touch

And I wanted you that much

Your voice was like lavender sound

And when you spoke it melted my heart to the ground

Your scent left a linger of lavender

And I laid in those purple flowers

Underneath the tree of you and me

With you or not, those days were musky and sweet

A time of growth and blooming

And I learned

To never retreat

Sweat by sweat

Tear by tear

I faced the demon called fear

And lived to tell the tale

Enchantment laid on its touch

And I wanted you that much

Your voice was like lavender sound

And when you spoke it melted my heart to the ground

Your scent left a linger of lavender

And I laid in those purple flowers

Underneath the tree of you and me

Think of that year, I get a scent

Being with you was only part of it

Learning of me was heaven sent

And the memories present

Lavender

My voice turned lavender sound

And when you spoke it melted my heart to the ground

Your scent left a linger of lavender

And I laid in those purple flowers

Underneath the tree of who I was to be
